Grasping water

Life changes so suddenly and so definitely.

And yet, even after realizing that you have become someone new, you know that all of life still remains fluid, tentative, uncertain.

There is no world.

If there were no world, there would be nothing around which we have to wrap our arms to keep from shattering.

There is no certainty.

It is certainty that creates disappointment, disillusionment, sadness, depression. Wanting for something to remain, to be known, to be sure of, brings pain. Keeps us stuck in time.

Like trying to grasp water.
Futile.
Pointless.
Foolish.

Everything is not solid.
